Humanity Matters response team returned from Nepal on 7 September after a 10-day deployment, since Day 03 of the avalanche-floods tragedy, to support the Nepali National Disaster Risk Reduction & Management Agency (NDRRMA) during the acute emergency phase.

Under NDRRMA’s direction, HM facilitated hydration for affectees, and health safety for frontline responders at worst-hit areas of Nuwakot and Rasuwa. The scenes at Grounds Zero were heart-wrenching.

HM is currently regrouping and readying to extend further aid to support the relief—rehab transition for the affectees, especially before the next Himalayan winter in December.
